Meal FAQs

  • Yes, we will have a Dairy Bar again this year! It will be set up to provide snacks for attendees in between mealtimes and will be open periodically throughout the day. To see exactly when it will be open throughout Convention, visit the schedule page.

  • Please indicate any food allergies you may have on the registration form. During Convention, notify Convention Center staff with any questions or concerns while going through the food line.

  • Visit the Activities page for detailed descriptions of meals and all Convention activities. For Junior attendees, visit the Junior Activities page for the same information. On the Schedule page, you can also click on each item to read descriptions for meals and other activities. Or, in the ticke order form, click “More Info” for meal descriptions.

  • There is no dinner planned for adults on Monday evening. We encourage attendees to check out one of the many restaurants in Salt Lake City, many of which are within a short walking distance of our Convention headquarters hotel. If you would like some recommendations, visit the Experience Salt Lake City page. There will be some snacks served at the Cutting Edge Connections: Adult Social Mixer, but that is not intended to serve as a full meal.

Convention Activity FAQs

  • Given the proximity of dairy farms to the Convention site, we have not organized any farm tours. However, farms in the region may welcome visitors during the time of Convention if people want to visit on their own, so watch for more information as the event gets closer.

  • For the tours that are having lunch and spending an afternoon at This is the Place Heritage Park, tour buses will start to shuttle back to the hotel at 2:00 pm. When a bus is completely full, it will return to the hotel. All buses are scheduled to return to the hotel at 3:30 pm. For the Antique & Classic Power Museum Tour buses will return to the hotel at 3:30 pm.

  • Yes, adults are welcome to purchase tickets for and attend the Junior Host Day Tour, Master Your Course.

  • We recommend you ride the provided transportation and discourage attendees from driving their own vehicle as we do not have arrangements with properties for parking and the places we are going have entry fees.

  • All attendees will need to purchase a ticket no matter what age as each individual must be seated in a seat.

  • Holstein Horizons is a new event in 2024, free for anyone in the dairy community to attend. The event will feature a variety of speakers and panels made up of experts within the dairy industry and beyond. Topics will include on-farm processing, dairy cattle genetics, beef on Holstein, and technology in the dairy industry. More detailed information on the event will be available soon.
